Reginald Robinson Ordination Biography Reginald E. Robinson was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He accepted the gospel at the early age of 13 and was baptized at the Orchard Park Seventh-day Adventist Church. As he attempted to serve God in church, the enemy was laying tempting and well-crafted attacks to lure him down a path of destruction. Pastor Robinson struggled with the temptations of sin, but in 1996 he declared victory by recommitting his life to God where he and his wife Cynthia were baptized and began a new life together at the New Life Seventh-day Adventist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 1998, after laboring for the Lord in many different capacities, Pastor Robinson accepted God’s call upon his life into the gospel ministry. He moved his family to Huntsville, Alabama to attend Oakwood College (Oakwood University). As a college student, Pastor Robinson continued to work in God’s vineyard. He was ordained as an elder in 2001, at the Mount Calvary Seventh-day Adventist Church and served as First Elder in the Decherd First Seventh-day Adventist Church in Tennessee. He served in other areas of ministry including chaplain for the Tennessee River Youth Federation, Vice-President for the Central Alabama Youth Federation, a youth pastor, assistant couple’s ministry leader and other organizations outside of the church. Pastor Robinson graduated in 2006 from Oakwood with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology. In 2006, Pastor Robinson traveled to Tanzania, African as one of ten Oakwood College (Oakwood University) ministers who served as keynote speakers with the Share Him Global Evangelism Ministry. As a team, they baptized and signed up for baptism more than 1,236 souls for the kingdom of God. Pastor Robinson then moved his family to Berrien Springs, Michigan to pursue a Master’s degree at Andrew’s University Seminary. While attending Andrew’s, he served as the Religious Affairs Vice-President for Seminary Student Forum and President of the Black Student Forum for the Seminary. He served in serval pastoral assignments as senior pastor of the Smyrna Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia, and at the Hope for Today Mission in Evergreen, Virginia. In 2015, he graduated from Andrew’s University with his Masters of Divinity. In 2018, Pastor Robinson moved his family to Sioux Falls, South Dakota where he completed 4 Units of the Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program at the Sioux Falls Veteran Administration Hospital and received his denominational endorsement from the North American Division as a Healthcare Chaplain. In February 2019, Pastor Robinson was extended an invitation from President Ben Jones and the South Central Conference to serve as the pastor of the Historic Morning Star Church in Vicksburg and the First Port Gibson Mississippi Seventh-day Adventist Churches. Under God’s guidance and direction, land has been purchased, the churches have been renovated, and precious souls have been added to God’s kingdom. Pastor Robinson is a member of the NAACP and the Mayor’s Faith Based Advisory Board. In October of 2019, Pastor Robinson started the Doctoral Program at the Sioux Falls Seminary in South Dakota. Pastor Robinson is married to love of his life the former Cynthia Love of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Today, June 18th they celebrate 28 years of marriage. She has assisted and accepted God’s ministry in her life. Her love is motivation and inspiration to her husband and others. Cynthia is a graduate of Oakwood College (Oakwood University) with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Early Childhood Development and a Master’s degree in 2015 in the area of Youth and Young Adult Ministry from Andrew’s University. Pastor Robinson is a simple man who loves the Lord. He loves doing service for God as well as helping others. He and Cynthia started a joint ministry entitled “S.U.R.V.I.V.A.L. Ministries”, whose focus and theme is “Surviving Everyday with Jesus.” His goal in life is to reflect the love of Christ to everyone and share the gospel of Jesus to all who will hear. One of his many favorite texts is found in II Corinthians 10:3-5 “For though we live in the body, we do not wage war in an unspiritual way, since the weapons of our warfare are not worldly, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish arguments and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ.”
